OUR APPROACH

Founded and led by Jordyn Solberg, our passion lies in the intricate dance between old-world charm and modern elegance. At the core of Studio Solberg’s design philosophy  is “good design evokes a feeling.” We believe that the soul of the home and the individuals residing there matter deeply in creating a timeless space that grows with the home and the families in them.

We are a boutique firm that shares a love for enhancing heritage homes and creating new ones inspired by historic craftsmanship.  We hold a deep appreciation for crafting new spaces that resonate with the same warmth and soul as their seasoned counterparts. From ground up new construction, to medium and smaller renovations and decorating, we take on interior design projects of varying sizes.  With a keen eye for treasuring historic architecture and classic aesthetics, we believe in the art of authenticity, meticulously incorporating handcrafted, antique, and bespoke elements into our designs that reflect the lifestyles of our clients. This dynamic approach ensures that no two projects are alike, keeping the excitement and inspiration at the forefront as we craft unique interiors that  mirror the individuality of our clients.

Our passion and joy is rooted in each project being a creative collaboration in telling the story of our clients in their home. We enjoy the challenge of offering a unique look reflective of our clients with every project we undertake. We are committed to safeguarding the timeless beauty of homes that will stand the test of time for years to come.

ABOUT JORDYN:

With over 10 years experience in the industry and a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design from Seattle Pacific University, Jordyn’s story to interior design was a natural one that began from a young age. Growing up in Mukilteo, WA, Jordyn developed a deep-rooted appreciation for the charm and nostalgia of historic design. Washington state, with its fewer preserved historic homes fueled her passion for maintaining and reviving the charm of bygone eras. From a young age she was captivated by historic movies and TV shows set in beautifully preserved homes and towns. Her background and experiences have shaped her design philosophy, leading her to value homes that age gracefully and retain their beauty over time. It’s this blend of nostalgia and enduring style that inspires her daily in her work as an interior designer. Her friends and family joke that she lives, eats and breathes interior design as it ebbs and flows in all aspects of her life. Growing up, she learned how to refinish furniture along side her dad as he built custom furniture and cabinets, and today her husband is a Carpenter who enjoys working on projects along side her as well. In her spare time you will find her with her family at an antique store, strolling through charming neighborhoods capturing historic architectural details, cooking up a project with her husband or watching a show or film featuring period architecture. In her other spare time, she can be found capturing photos of things that inspire her, in her college years she worked as a wedding photographer along side her friend and found her passion in working intimately with clients to tell and showcase the story of their lives. Her true joy in life is the story of the collaboration of creating spaces that are the foundation for many memories to come. Home is where the heart is.
